BQUO strengthens its impact on the territory, the company and talent attraction with the opening event of its third edition

BQUO has held the institutional opening event of its third edition, marking the beginning of a new stage of the program promoted by DOMINION to attract entrepreneurial talent and support innovative projects from the Basque Country to the world.
The event began with a welcoming by Patricia Berjón, followed by a speech by Mikel Barandiaran, CEO of DOMINION, who highlighted the evolution of BQUO, its contribution to the ecosystem and the commitment to moving towards an open innovation model in collaboration with other local stakeholders.

During the event, the projects and talents selected for this edition —SBS (Aitor Pablos), GreenDeal (Benjamin Oscco), BioTrac (Sergi Zaragoza and Marc García), Witlab (Luis Alfonso Velázquez) and the Smart Data challenge (Karen Díaz and Nataly Mimbela)— delivered a round of pitches that offered insight into the initiatives that will be developed over the coming months at DOMINION’s headquarters in Bilbao.

One of the highlights of the event was a panel discussion focused on the impact of BQUO, moderated by Patricia Berjón and featuring Jon Baraia, Manuel Barandiaran, ADSOL (María Martínez and Juanjo Vallejo), and Gonzalo Barrenechea. The discussion shared real experiences emerging from BQUO related to company creation, international talent attraction, and the generation of opportunities for DOMINION and the Basque entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The event concluded with an open discussion with the audience around territorial impact, public-private collaboration, and the importance of continuing to strengthen an innovative, competitive, and connected ecosystem.

With this third edition, BQUO kicks off with renewed energy and a strong commitment to continuing to drive talent, innovation, and new opportunities in Bizkaia and the Basque Country.
